Concrete pour weather go/no-go for UK groundworkers and trades

// the why
CanIPour came out of a conversation with my executive assistant, who has a lot of experience in the construction industry. I showed her Will it frost?, my garden tool, and she told me how much frost actually affects concrete: pour at the wrong time and it can fail to cure properly. Researching further, I found the big firms have complicated, expensive systems for this, but there was nothing simple for the independent guys deciding whether to order a load and book a crew. So I took the same weather engine and pointed it at concrete.
// who it's for
Independent UK groundworkers, concreters, and small crews who do not have the expensive forecasting tools the big construction firms rely on.
// what it does
- Free check from your postcode and material in about thirty seconds
- Clear go, caution, or no-go verdict for tomorrow, with the data behind it
- Checks frost, heat, drying wind and low humidity, and rain against the mix
- Tighter thresholds for mortar, screed, and render, which are more sensitive than concrete
- Thresholds based on industry standards (BS EN 13670, ACI 306R, ACI 305, NHBC, BDA)
- Optional evening text and email alerts before you commit the load and crew

What is CanIPour?
CanIPour checks tomorrow's weather against pouring conditions and gives you a clear go, caution, or no-go before you order material and book a crew. Enter your postcode and material and you get an answer in about thirty seconds.What conditions does it check?
Frost below around 5°C that stops curing, heat above roughly 30 to 35°C that drives cracking, drying winds and low humidity that cause plastic-shrinkage cracking, and rain that washes out the cement. It covers concrete, mortar, screed, and render, with tighter thresholds for the last three.Whose standards does it use?
Thresholds follow established industry guidance, including BS EN 13670, ACI 306R, ACI 305, NHBC, and BDA.Is the verdict a guarantee?
No. It is decision-support from the weather forecast, not a guarantee. Always read your own site on the day.Is it free?
Site checks by postcode are free. An optional paid tier sends an evening go/no-go by text and email before you commit the load and the crew.Who is it for?
UK groundworkers, concreters, bricklayers, and crews who lose money when a pour fails because of the weather.
