Social Battery

Show how you're feeling

Share your social energy as a battery level, so friends can see whether you're up for plans without having to ask

the why

Social Battery is a shared shorthand for how much social energy you have, so you can skip the awkward "are you up for it?" exchange every time. Add friends and family and you see each other's level at a glance, and when a friend's battery has not been updated for a couple of days you can send them a gentle nudge.

who it's for

Introverts and neurodivergent folks who would rather signal their capacity than negotiate plans in real time.

what it does

  • Set your current social energy level
  • Share status with a single link
  • Personal network: add friends and family to see each other's status
  • Runs in the browser, with nothing to install

frequently asked

  • What does Social Battery do?
Social Battery lets you set your social energy from 1 (empty) to 5 (full) and share it with one link, so friends can see whether you have capacity for a chat without you having to explain.
  • Can I see my friends' status?
Yes. Social Battery has a personal network: add friends and family, and you can see each other's social capacity at a glance without having to ask.
  • Do I need to install anything?
No. Social Battery works in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it behaves like an app. Friends don't need an account to see your battery from your link.
